Things You'll Need
- Soymilk maker
- soya beans or soybeans
- water
- Pan and cheesecloth
Instructions:
- The fastest and easiest way to make your own soy milk at home is to purchase a soy milk maker. They are available on line at stores like amazon and other web sites.
- With a soy milk maker you follow the directions and add soybeans and water to make soy milk quick and easy. You can also make rice milk and other things with some soy milk makers
- Make soy milk with a standard soy milk maker
- Add soybeans to filter cup
- Add filter to the machine head
- Place the machine head on the pitcher provided
- Press the start button to begin the soy milk making process
- Hot soy milk is ready in about 15 to 20 minutes depending on the machine
- You can flavor soy milk to your taste
- Basic Soy milk making...
- Add about 125 grams of whole soy or soya beans to make about 1 liter of milk
- Soak and clean the soy beans overnight or for about 10-20 hours. If you want you can remove the hulls from the beans which will make the extraction process easier
- Optional - Heat the beans - this will destroy the bean flavor. Microwave the wet soaked beans for about 2 minutes
- Grind the soaked beans in and about 1 liter of water in a blender. Strain the mixture through a cloth (cheese or other. The tangible material that remains on the cloth is called okra and can be used to make bread and other things
- Heat the soy milk in a large pan until it boils for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. After it is boiled the soy milk can be refrigerated for up to 3-5 days

05-27-2011- Other Thoughts: It is very quiet and sounds like a dishwasher when it is grinding the beans, otherwise it is silent. When it is finished, it makes a very soft beeping sound. It was at the most warm to the touch on the outside. It also cleaned up very quickly and easily with just a wet dishcloth.

05-09-2011- Other Thoughts: This machine makes soy milk in about 20 minutes, and (unlike my juicer) clean-up takes about two minutes. As other reviewers have noted, there is no on/off switch so it beeps annoyingly until you come to unplug it. It seems structurally sturdy although the latches seem flimsy and I wonder how they will hold up.

05-06-2011- Other Thoughts: This soy milk machine is my first automatic machine; I got it so that I could conveniently make organic soy milk and tofu from locally sourced soy beans. This machine is so easy to use and clean that I use it often.
