How to Connect a CD Player to Speakers:
A CD player can be connected to speakers whether the player is for use with a component stereo system or it is a portable model. Since a CD player does not contain an amplifier to drive the volume, a set of self-powered speakers must be used. Computer desktop speakers are a good choice for this type of connection. Some CD players may require a Y-adapter to convert the 1/4-inch audio jacks into a 3.5mm mini-jack for use with external speakers. You can purchase a Y-adapter at electronics and music stores
Instructions
- Connecting Full Size CD Player
- Plug a set of audio cables into the two jacks on the back of a component CD player labeled audio OUT
- Insert the two plugs on the other end of the cables into the jacks on the Y-adapter
- Connect the plug on the right-speaker cable to the mini-jack on the Y-adapter
- Plug the left speaker cable into the jack on the back of the right speaker
- Insert the power cord in the jack on the right speaker and connect the plug on the other end to an electrical outlet. Turn the on/off/volume knob clockwise on the right speaker to activate the speakers and adjust sound
- Connecting Portable CD Speakers
- Connect the cable on the right speaker to the headphones jack on the portable CD player
- Plug the left speaker cable into the jack on the back of the right speaker
- Attach the power cord to the right speaker and connect to a wall outlet. Switch on the speakers and adjust the volume as desired

11-18-2011- Other Thoughts: On the basis of the reviews for this product I decided to buy one as the price was not too high to be the end of the world if the speaker didn't live up to expectation. This however is a fantastic sounding little speaker which I think is astonishing for its bass as well as treble in such a small device! I always have to have music when I am camping and this is a perfect speaker to attach to your phone etc. Buy one you will not be disappointed unless you are impossible to please ;o)

11-05-2011- Other Thoughts: This is a quality product with great functionality .I use 2 of these with a splitter lead as a replacement for my ipod docking station however this has the added bonus that it is extremly compact and portable. <br/>The sound quality of the iPhone Portable Speaker is great considering the size and cost but if you are a real audiophile you may be a bit disapointed. <br/>For me if you are looking for a small travel speaker this Mini Portable Speaker is the way to go.

11-11-2011- Other Thoughts: I have been looking for years for a truly portable speaker for my mp3 player, this has answered all my prayers, wow small ( extremely small) <br/>powerfull and clever, if you want truly portable truly powerful then buy these and you wont be dissapointed i still cant believe that one speaker gives out that much sound and more importantly bass, where / how? <br/>whatever!!! fantastic and as you can tell im very very excited! all with in built rechargeable battery, little 3.5 lead to connect to your player.
