How to Use Tablecloths & Placemats:- Choose the tablecloth and placemats according to the event you are having. If you are celebrating a wedding, use light neutral colors such as champagne or ivory. If you are celebrating a birthday or summer holiday, use bright colors such as reds, oranges, blues, or greens. Use patterned table cloths for informal events and solid colors for formal events. Purchase placemats in seasonal colors. These usually are items you use every day, so use seasonal colors to add interest to the table
- Put placemats at every chair, directly on the table. Place table settings on the placemat for very informal family meals. These can be used on a daily basis, but you can change styles depending on the day of the week. Use more colorful placemats on weekends or when there are guests at the dinner table
- Place a pad underneath the tablecloth, so whatever tablecloth you use falls smoothly over the table. Place a tablecloth that is a suitable size over the table--for romantic or formal events, they should be fabric tablecloths with a drape of 8 to 12 inches. 06-13-2011- Other Thoughts: I love having this for our 9 month old twins when we go out to eat! I've worked in restaurants most of my life and know that the tables are not germ-free (to say the least). I know they sell the disposable ones, which I guess are good, too, but I wanted to try to be a little eco-friendly =)

06-07-2011- Other Thoughts: We love the tiny diner. It goes everywhere with us. It needs to be washed between uses and dried well, so we wash it, put a towel on it, roll it up, and put it back in the diaper bag. The next time we go out, it's right there with an extra towel for messes. Perfect.

05-06-2011- Other Thoughts: My son is now eating finger foods and little nibbles. <br/>When dining out I realized he had a hard time picking items up off of the slippery plates. He also had a hard time with not picking up the entire plate and keeping food on said plate. <br/>So I decided to give this a try after a friend recommended it

05-13-2011- Other Thoughts: If you have a toddler and ever eat away from home you must get one of these! I saw one being used in a restaurant. Because we happened to be in a bigger city, went to the store and bought one that day for my granddaughter. It is an ingenious invention for peace of mind that the surface your little one is eating from is as clean as you have made your tiny diner.

05-24-2011- Other Thoughts: Our baby sits right at the table with us, so this placemat is perfect! We place her food right onto the mat, and then it catches the items she drops. It's also great to stick into the diaper bag, as it rolls up nicely, and take with to restaurants. Cleaning it is so easy--just rinse it off in the sink!
