How to Store Toys?
Toy storage is something all parents can relate to. It is important to have an efficient system in place to prevent your child's toys from taking over the entire house. If you begin an effective system for storing toys when your child is a toddler, he will be more likely to tidy up after himself as he grows older. Future siblings - which can mean even more toys - can then be encouraged to follow his example.
- Store your child's favorite toys in a child-friendly storage unit, such as a toy chest or toy bin that he can open himself. Teach your child to take his toys out and put them back in by himself.
- Separate different types of toys and give them their own storage unit. You can use a toy box for cars, a toy hammock for soft toys and small shelves for books.
- Label each toy container so that your child knows what is inside it. For example, attach both a picture of a car and the word "car" on the front of the car toy box.
- Rotate toys. Bring a few toys out to play with at a time, leaving the rest in storage and out of your child's reach. This cuts down on clutter and renews your child's interest in different toys. Having too many toys available can be overwhelming to a child and can result in individual toys losing appeal.
- Ensure your child's toys are stored safely. Keep toys off the floor so that they cannot be tripped over. Invest in a toy chest without a lid; if it has a lid make sure it is sturdy with safe hinges, ventilation holes and lockable supports. Inspect toys on a regular basis for damaged or broken parts that could cause injury, such as small loose parts that could be swallowed.

10-16-2011- Other Thoughts: I'll keep my review short since even the pictures speak for themselves, this is by far the best toy so far! Its very well made, and is the perfect size for your shelf. I'm not one to normally collect game/movie figues but I'd get this toy again in a heart beat.
