How to Replace a Karaoke Microphone:

- One of the most exciting developments for computer and console games since the year 2000 has been the advent of rhythm games such as "Rockband," "Guitar Hero," "DJ Hero" and "Singstar." All of these games implement new peripheral devices such as guitars or karaoke microphones in addition to the standard controller. Because these devices are often wired directly to the console, they are prone to damage from normal usage. Fortunately, microphones can be replaced.
- Instructions
- Carefully remove the old karaoke microphone from the adapter; properly dispose of it
- Remove the old universal serial bus (USB) adapter from the PlayStation console
- Insert the new USB adapter to the PlayStation USB port, typically in the third or fourth port position. On the PlayStation 2 (PS2), you may use the second USB port
- Plug the end of the microphone cord into the round slot on the USB adapter
- Reset the PlayStation
Package Included:
- 2 x USB Karaoke Microphone

12-28-2010- Other Thoughts: This works great for all the new guitar hero games with vocalist. Wireless would be nice, but cable is long enough for anywhere in the room.

04-16-2010- Other Thoughts: If you play Karaoke Revolution or American Idol video games, then this mic is for you! You can say goodbye to all the problems with the headset, especially when more than a couple people are playing. You can just pass the mic instead waiting until every player gets adjusted using the headset mic. Plus, it fits everyone!

09-17-2010- Other Thoughts: I bought this, unsure if I would have a compatibility issue or not. I am pleased to say that it works fine with my daughter's PS2 Guitar Hero World Tour game. The sound is fine, I haven't noticed any problems with it.
