- When i play World of Warcraft, my computer often overheats, I already have a cooling pad, but it still overheats. Some suggestions would be great.
- Hi. Make sure the air you pull thru the laptop is as cool as possible (i.e. air conditioned) and that there is no dust or anything in the vents or fins on the CPU unit.
- I ordered a laptop cooling pad. It cools the computer sufficiently but affects the computer in interesting ways. When I have it plugged in, the computer will not start.
The next time, plug in the device after you start your windows and unplug it before shutting down. as for the built in USB hub not functioning very well, it might be that you don't have enough power on your usb port , as the cooling pad take up a lot of power from the USB port. if you are using device that need to power up by the USB, connect it straight to the USB port on your PC or laptop, such device need more power and some USB hub are known can't keep up with it.
- Is it detrimental if my laptop cooling pad is directly under the fan under my laptop?
Not sure exactly what you have but here is a general picture. The computer fan stirs air and helps to cool the inside of the unit. The cooling pad does not draw air from the outside but pulls the warm air from around the bottom of the laptop and forces it out the sides of the cooling pad. In short, the computer fan pulls air from the outside and cooling pad is picking up the hot air from the computer and pushing it out. There should be no problem having the fans close to each other.
