How to Measure for Valance:
Valance Width:
- Using a metal tape measure or a wooden yardstick, measure the width of the window area you would like to cover, typically from bracket to bracket
- Bracket to bracket measuring is the easiest way to get your drape width correct. Whether you are using a standard valance rod, a traverse rod or decorative rod the measuring is the same
- All rods are attached to the wall using brackets. For existing hardware, you will measure from wall bracket to wall bracket. For new drapery hardware installations, we recommend that you mount your brackets at least 4in out on each side of the window casing. The total distance between your brackets is the width you select when pricing and ordering on our site. We will take care of the fabric fullness and pattern matching on any seams
- For no drape style, order valance pair widths that are as same as rod width of the window area you would like to cover
- For proper fullness, order valance pair widths that are approximately one and a half times to double the width of the window area you would like to cover

My daughter really likes her curtains! Although they could be bunched up a little more (I would have gone with other reviewer's recommendations of buying two for one window if I wanted to spend double the money), I am happy with this purchase.

These valances are so cute. Bought them for my 2 year old's room. Love it! Only thing is I bought two, one for each window...but it wasn't full enough. So I put the two on one window and looks great. Now I've ordered two more, but they are on back-order! Oh well. Worth the wait.

These valances are cute and SO feminine. They're not just for little girls, either. Big girls love them, too! First, they are the PERFECT pink, which (as all girls know) is an important consideration. They look just great in my bedroom and compliment my white/pink/blue/lime green quilt beautifully.

These look really nice in my baby's room. The room has a sky/hot air balloon theme and they fit in nicely. The picture doesn't show it, but they are translucent. The light coming through is very diffused and pleasant. They came out of the package very wrinkled, but I just hung them in the bathroom while I showered, then smoothed them over and the wrinkles came right out.
