01-12-2011- Other Thoughts: I found that the product was exactly as advertised. Good quality adapter. Also, I had read that my laptop (Dell Latitude E6400) did not output audio through its DisplayPort, which I found flustrating. But, upon hooking it up audio came through perfectly. I do have to close the lid of my device and select 'Full/Native' on the LCD TV to get the optimal resolution & aspect ratio, but those mild annoyances are due to the laptop and TV, not the adapter.

01-28-2011- Other Thoughts: Adapter easily connected to my Lenovo ThinkPad T500's Display Port. I plugged a HDMI cable into the adapter and connected it to my HDTV's HDMI input. I'm now using this set-up to view Amazon's Video on Demand content on my HDTV.

02-17-2011- Other Thoughts: This product works great. I could get it to work with a Dell latitude 6410 and get video and sound on the TV. <br/>The video worked right out of the box and for sound you have to change the audio device from the default (IDT audio in my case) to the digital audio device. This may be called differently based on your laptop and OS.

01-20-2011- Other Thoughts: Worked very well with my setup. Used Dell Latitude E6400 and Panasonic VIERA 50" plasma. <br/>Only problem I've seen is that the bottom of the screen gets cut off, but I haven't played with all of my display settings yet to see if that's the problem.
