05-18-2011- Other Thoughts: It is actually searching for the signal. If it gets it immediately the time will be set accurately in 5 minutes. <br/>If not every hour the clock searches for the accurate time relayed from the colorado server. The clock finds the time signal within the next 4-5 hours. The chances of the clock finding the signal is high over night when there is less distortion. <br/> <br/>Once ir receives the accurate time it will never fall behind. <br/> <br/>A very good time piece

04-13-2011- Other Thoughts: I bought 5 of them for my Sylvan Learning Center. We were constantly frustrated by having to adjust the clocks we had so that they matched. So far, in the past 6 weeks, we have had no problem. All 5 clock show the same time and are running with no problems. I am hoping for a hassle-free daylight saving change in the fall.

03-31-2011- Other Thoughts: We got the clock, read the instructions, installed a battery and hung it on an East / West wall. After the sun went down, the clock was able to receive the station and set itself to the correct time. It has worked flawlessly for the last two months since we got it. It's nice to have the correct time all the time and the kids don't worry about getting out on time to catch the bus because the clock is off.

02-28-2011- Other Thoughts: I checked around for decent looking atomic clocks, and this is a good price. I've had trouble with another brand of atomic clock (Daniel Dakota) resetting itself to the wrong hour repeatedly.

01-12-2011- Other Thoughts: I've owned this clock for almost a year, and consider it one of the better buys I've made in clocks. So far, it has "self-adjusted" for every daylight savings time change with no problems. The key, I think, is to make sure that it is set to adjust automatically, and that the time zone is set correctly. There's an unmarked button that, if depressed, will deactivate DST automatic adjustment (this is all explained in the short owner's manual). <br/> <br/>The clock is very classy looking, and, contrary to other reviewers' comments, the frame is real wood, NOT plastic. I know because I "nicked" the back of it accidentally on a nail when I was hanging it. It has a walnut stain and smooth satin finish. The design will go with a lot of different decorating styles. Mine is sort of traditional/eclectic, and the woodtone of this clock works well. The dial has a mildly "old-fashioned" look to it -- very easy to read. <br/> <br/>I've been thrilled with this clock, and would gladly purchase another. Amazon's price is excellent, too.
