How to Clean a Leather Wallet?
Is it time to finally clean that dirty leather wallet? Most of the time we don't realize how dirty our wallets really get. Leather is a fairly versatile material and holds up well over time. Most leather wallets also tend to be darker colors like black or brown which help conceal dirt and stains. Some people even go years without ever cleaning their wallet once. Well I've got news for you. Leather wallets get just as filthy as your clothes, it's just hard to tell. Here is a step by step guide on how to clean a leather wallet.- Empty out your wallet. Pull anything and everything that isn't attached to your wallet out and set it aside. Pictures especially as they can get damaged in the cleaning process.
- Wipe down your entire wallet with anti bacterial disinfectant wipes. Money changes hands constantly and is one of the dirtiest things we come in contact with on a daily basis. There is no telling what kinds of bacteria are growing inside your wallet.
- Rub down your leather wallet with leather cleaner on a soft cloth. Make sure to scrub the folds and cracks of your wallet the best that you can.
- Condition your wallet using the same cloth on a different spot. Apply the leather conditioner liberally and let it soak into the leather. This will help rejuvenate and condition the old worn leather.
- After your wallet has completely dried, replace all of your credit cards, cash, photos, and other papers you may have.
How to Shrink a Leather Wallet?
Leather wallets are a fashionable accessory for any man or woman. A classy wallets can be an accessory that looks nice on anyone. In most cases, wallets come in a fairly small size and they can typically carry cash, credit cards and other similar accessories. The problem with a one size wallet is that sometimes the wallet is too large. A leather wallet can be shrunk to make it slightly smaller.- Remove everything from the wallet. There should be no cash, cards, pictures or change in the wallet as the contents can cause the wallet to shrink unevenly.
- Place the wallet in lukewarm water for approximately 10 minutes. The wallet should be evenly covered by the water.
- Remove the wallet after ten minutes. Usually ten minutes will be enough time for the wallet to soak. When the wallet only needs to shrink a very small amount, it can be removed a couple minutes earlier.
- Set the wallet in the sun to dry. It should be placed where the wallet is getting even sunlight. If the wallet does not receive sunlight evenly, it will shrink more in some areas and less in others, resulting in a misshapen wallet. A blow dryer can be used when the day is not sunny. Use the blow dryer on low heat and keep it about a foot or two above the wallet.
- Use leather dressing to soften the leather once it has dried. The shrinking process can harden the leather, which could cause it to crack. Make sure to apply leather dressing at least twice a year to preserve the leather. The first application after shrinking should be generously applied and gently rubbed into the leather. You can use a smaller amount of leather dressing after the first application.

02-21-2011- Other Thoughts: This is the second Brown wallet I have purchased. The first one was very similar to this one but I paid a lot more for it at a leather shop in the mall, can't remember the name of it. Anyway, that wallet served me very well, but it was in pretty ratty shape so I decided to get a new one. To my surprise I found that I could actually fit everything from my old wallet into this new one, but it was not a bulky. I dare say that it is much easier to carry and that the credit card slots are easier to use. Give this wallet a try; I doubt that you will be disappointed with it.

01-30-2011- Other Thoughts: I didn't break in quite as fast as I hoped, but it's a good fit. So many new billfolds have things you don't want --weird strap, too few or too many pockets. This one is just right. Love the color, too.

03-28-2011- Other Thoughts: First of all, let me say that this style of MENS Trifold wallet is very good. Here's why: <br/>It features eleven slots for storing cards. <br/>The leather is soft and is has a slight shine. <br/>The slim and small size allows it to easily slide out of a back pocket.

03-31-2011- Other Thoughts: If you plan on wearing this wallet in you back pocket think twice. This wallet is very thick "Fat" when empty. Once you put your credit cards and money in it, you will wind up constantly taking it out and putting it in the center console of your car, so as not to sit uncomfortably.
