Maintenance Method:
- Keep away from damp and heat. Sunlight and humid are enemies of fur. Thus when placing the fur, the fur shall not be directly exposed to sunlight shall be avoided, and shall be free of hot and humid place. It would be best for the room temperature to be 15 degrees
- Correct hanging. Use a hanger with shoulder pads to hang the fur, instead of a steel wire one, in case of fur damage or deformation
- Good air permeability. When storing the fur, high air permeability is required; plastic bags are not allowed. Loose cloth bags can be used to cover the fur, in case of dust, when necessary
- Keep off chemicals. When wearing the fur, fragrant or hair spray shall be avoided, as alcohol content in chemicals of these products will dry the fur
- If the fur is carelessly wet, do not try to dry it with a hair dryer, as the fur can not be heated. You just need to hang the wet fur in a dry place and naturally dry it
- No washing by machine. Softly hand washing
How to Make a Bolero for a Wedding
- A bolero or shrug is a short jacket that covers the shoulders and arms while leaving the waist and torso exposed. The bolero was popularized for American wedding fashion during the 1950s when sleeveless gowns were in style, but it was still inappropriate to display bare arms in church ceremonies. Make a simple bolero using two oversized scarves or shawls. Use rich material such as rabbit fur, lace, silk or satin to enhance this short jacket and make it wedding worthy.
- Instructions
- Lay the scarves on top of one another, with the backs of the fabric together and the design sides facing out. Sew the scarves together by hand along all four sides, using a hidden or narrow stitch, and sew as close to the hem as possible to avoid visible stitching. To perform a hidden stitch, slide the sewing needle into the hem about 1/8 of an inch on one piece, then insert the needle into the hem of the other piece 1/8 of an inch. Continue like this along the length of the hem.
- Drape the shawl over your shoulders so that the best design side (the side you want to show) is facing outward. Wrap the scarf around your arms near your armpit to create "sleeves." Have a partner carefully pin the edges of the fabric together where your sleeves should begin, just under the armpits near the breastline.
- Remove the fabric carefully. Connect the sleeves' edges from the safety pin to the cuff with pins. Run a seam along the edges of the fabric that you just pinned, using the same hidden or narrow stitch. Embellish this seam with ribbon or costume jewels if you wish to hide any stitching that might be visible when done. The sleeves should reach a little below your wrists. Hem if the sleeves are too long.
- Remove the safety pins from under the arms. Embellish the bolero with jewels, pearls, sequins, ribbons, brooches or lace to match your wedding dress or your wedding theme.

09-30-2010- Other Thoughts: The description of this product and it's color are pretty accurate. I got these jackets for my Bridesmaids and they work really well. They are slightly bigger than i had anticipated, but we also used the "bust" measurement as our basis for the size we order, whereas we probably should have focused on the shoulder measurement (se merchants sizing chart if you have no clue what i am talking about). <br/> <br/>overall i was very pleased!

08-18-2010- Other Thoughts: I ordered this to go with the PacificPlex dress I ordered that is the 50's inspired with black lace at the top. It was perfect. I ordered the same size of bolero as the dress and the fit was perfect. It looks so good together and is very dressy but not over the top where I still could wear it to the office( where I am a financial planner). It is going to serve it's purpose wonderfully!

05-12-2010- Other Thoughts: I bought this to go over my dress I am always an Xl at the most because I am in between dress sizes. The material is not bad at all and the jacket is actually cute but the arms are way too tight. My arms measure 15 around and they would not even go in. I did not return it because I can always give it away but I recommend that if you are going to buy it go 1 or too sizes up and then have taken in
