How to Install a Car Power Inverter:

• Park the vehicle and open the hood. Disconnect the battery by loosening the positive cable with a wrench and pulling it free with your hand
• Mount the power inverter. Pick a location which will allow plenty of air flow around the inverter as they heat up when used. A typical mounting location is on the lower kick panel in the passenger side of the vehicle under the dash
• Wire the inverter. Run a length of wire from the positive side of the inverter to the car's battery by running the wire through a grommet in the firewall
• Connect the wires. Connect the new positive and negative wires to the wires coming from the inverter to the wires you installed into the vehicle by placing terminal ends on the wires and crimping them in place in the same manner as the positive wire at the battery

• i've bought 3 of these car chargers so far. i bought one for my son in law who used it when he drove cross country--he loved it. came in handy when he wanted to charge his phone before he camped out for the night and would have no power. i read a lot of reviews before deciding on this one. it's small yet powers a computer and phone. i love it and would recommend it.

• This little inverter works great! It's extremely quiet and compact. I've seen cell phones larger than this thing. The USB port is a plus since a lot of today's phones are charged this way. It isn't listed in the description but this inverter will give you 130w through a cigarette lighter plug and the full 175w when directly connected to the battery or heavy duty cable.
  
  This thing isn't manufactured by Duracell. It's actually made by Battery Biz, Inc. and all warranty claims will go to them. However, it works flawless and it's great to keep in the laptop bag.

• This product is fantastic. It provides ultimate freedom and mobility while using rechargeable battery powered devices. With this device, I am able to take my laptop into my car and I am no longer limited by the charge on my battery because I can plug into an ac power source! • The inverter does its job. I had it for half a year now. It works. There could be improvements.
  1. The power indicator light is too low. I can't tell if it is on or off in the daytime.
  2. The over all shape is compact but a little awkward as I don't have a place to properly secure it in the car. Some other products have a can shape to fit in cup holders.
  3. The USB output is convenient, but the output current is only 500mA, which is not enough for smart phones.

• This 175 watt inverter is full featured, very compact and quiet. I installed it to run a 13" TV (40 watt) in our RV and it works perfectly. I could have gone with the smaller 100 watt model, but for a few dollars more I opted for over-capacity. The low ratings for this item seem to come from those who did not determine the wattage required for their application, and purchased too small an inverter.

• I have purchased this inverter for my car before & had to purchase it again bc my car was broken into.
  I change cell phones all the time & with this power source I don't have to keep buying cell car chargers.
  I just use the regular charger that comes with the phone. Also, anybody can charge their cell in my car as long as they have their regular charger, outlet or USB. If I need a battery boost on my laptop, I can do it in my car. I use it to charge my PSP Having an outlet and USB in my car is seminal in our techie world. Don't waste money on multiple car chargers. This is a great investment, can't live w/o it.
