How to Remove SATA Cable:

• Shut down the PC and remove any cords connected to the back of the computer case 
• Turn the computer over carefully and place it onto a solid surface. Place a soft cloth or towel underneath to prevent scratches 
• Use antistatic spray or wear antistatic gloves before opening the case. If you do not have any spray or gloves, touch the power supply to ground yourself 
• Open up your computer case and locate your PC's drives. The hard drive is usually located on the right side of the computer underneath the optical drive 
• Remove the SATA cable. While holding both sides of the cable, gently pull the SATA cable from the hard drive or optical drive and the SATA cable connector on the motherboard
