How to Extend a USB Cable:
- Remove your Belkin USB Active Extension cable from its packaging. Make sure that you have selected a cable that is compatible with your computer's USB port. Most computers now use a 2.0 port, but some older models call for a 1.0 or 1.1 type connection. If you do not know what connection you have, simple plug the USB cable in and your computer will automatically alert you if it is not the correct type.
