How to Install a Car Power Inverter:

• Park the vehicle and open the hood. Disconnect the battery by loosening the positive cable with a wrench and pulling it free with your hand
• Mount the power inverter. Pick a location which will allow plenty of air flow around the inverter as they heat up when used. A typical mounting location is on the lower kick panel in the passenger side of the vehicle under the dash
• Wire the inverter. Run a length of wire from the positive side of the inverter to the car's battery by running the wire through a grommet in the firewall
• Connect the wires. Connect the new positive and negative wires to the wires coming from the inverter to the wires you installed into the vehicle by placing terminal ends on the wires and crimping them in place in the same manner as the positive wire at the battery

• I ordered this product after reading about the severe battery drain of the NextStar GoTo system. The item arrived before the telescope when it was supposed to arrive a week later (Kudos to USPS and Fedex). Upon receiving the telescope I tried the connector and found it fit quite well as opposed to other reviewers who had problems with it falling out of the telescope.

• This is a must have for any of the Celestron telescopes along with the battery pack. I appreciated that the information was so easy to find and the telescope along with the AC Adapter was delivered on Christmas Eve only 5 days after my order.

• I ordered the adapter so I wouldn't go through so many batteries when using our telescope at home. It was a great purchase and well worth it. As with many battery operated items, as the batteries get used, the device they power starts to slow down. This is the case with our celestron telescope.

• I got this inverter to power a GPS that worked off USB power, and a 15" laptop.
  It handles those jobs fine.
  I haven't tried to approach the inverter's rated load limit.
