How to Install a Car Power Inverter:

• Park the vehicle and open the hood. Disconnect the battery by loosening the positive cable with a wrench and pulling it free with your hand
• Mount the power inverter. Pick a location which will allow plenty of air flow around the inverter as they heat up when used. A typical mounting location is on the lower kick panel in the passenger side of the vehicle under the dash
• Wire the inverter. Run a length of wire from the positive side of the inverter to the car's battery by running the wire through a grommet in the firewall
• Connect the wires. Connect the new positive and negative wires to the wires coming from the inverter to the wires you installed into the vehicle by placing terminal ends on the wires and crimping them in place in the same manner as the positive wire at the battery

• Had to get a inverter in my car to get my GPS to work for long periods and not let the battery run down. The DC wire for the GPS didn't work. Now, I can play and use other accessories that require A/C too. The inverter works like a charm.

• I purchased this inverter for a week-long road trip and did not run into any hiccups or performance issues. The item has a solid, quality feel that gave me confidence about durability. It has a very small footprint so storage in my vehicle was no problem. Many times throughout the trip, the Wagan was powering a 15" laptop, iPad, and a cell phone - no problems whatsoever. It does run warm, but did not get hot to touch. I highly recommend this item for purchase if you are in the market for a quality inverter.

• I bought 6 of these to go in service vehicles. They arrived in a timely manner and all 6 worked out of the box.
  The unit is small, and works great for powering a laptop. The guys really like the usb port. I will buy more when needed.

• The only problem I had was it did not charge my laptop or ipad very quickly(especially if I was using them). It did give enough juice to keep them going though.

• I purchased the Wagan 200W inverter after my 150W was stolen from my car. While the Wagan 150W used to get hot to the touch and whine when its fan engaged, the 200W has neither of these issues. The 200W powers my laptop (Dell Latitude D630), mobile printer (HP Officejet), and iPhone 4 without burning a hole in the passenger side seat. The USB works as advertised and I have had no problems.
