How to Remove Heat Spreaders:

• Turn off your computer and disconnect the power cord and other cables. Remove the screws on the back of the computer with the Phillips screwdriver. Open the panel cover and set it aside
• Put on the anti-static wrist strap and clip the other end to a metal surface inside the computer case
• Press outward on the retaining clips for the memory module, then lift the module out of its slot
• Pull the two metal clips off the top of the RAM module heat spreaders. Use your fingers to separate and remove the heat spreaders from the memory module
• Clean each memory module with compressed air or install new heat spreaders
