How to Install a Graphics Card Fan:

• Unplug the power cable from the back of the computer. Remove the screw that holds the graphics card in place in the computer with the Phillips screwdriver. Unplug any extra internal power cables leading to the card
• Unlatch any plastic bits that hold the card in place and pull the card firmly out of the card slot
• Set the card down on a flat work surface. If there are any screws holding the fan and heat sink assembly in place on the top of the card, remove them with the Phillips screwdriver
• Flip the card over and locate the rubber nubs that hold the heat sink and fan assembly in place. Use the needle-nosed pliers to grab and rotate the rubber nubs until they can be poked back through the video card
• Flip the card back over. Unplug the power cable connecting the fan to the graphics card. Pull the heat sink and fan assembly off the graphics card, revealing the graphics processor chip. Set the old heat sink and fan assembly aside
• Open the package for the new heat sink and fan assembly. Apply a small drop of thermal compound onto the graphics processor chip on the graphics card
• Place the heat sink and fan assembly on the graphics processor chip, lining up the rubber nubs with the holes in the graphics card. Press down firmly to seat the assembly
• Flip the graphics card over and use the needle-nosed pliers to twist the rubber nubs until they lock the heat sink and fan assembly into place
• Turn the card back over and replace the screws removed in step 3, if applicable. Plug the cable leading off the fan into the power plug on the graphics card
• Replace the card in the slot in the computer and fasten into place with the screw removed in step 1. Plug in any extra internal power cables that the graphics card requires
• Plug the power cable back into the back of the computer. Turn the computer on and watch the fan on the graphics card to see if it is spinning. If the fan is spinning, this indicates a successful installation of the graphics card fan

• Very good Video Card Cooler Fan. I am using this item with my 7900GS. I can overclock this card to 550/720 and it cools it to ~38-39c with ambient temp of 24c(room temp in home). Quiet operation. Very cool the video card.

• I purchases this because I wanted something quiet, effective and not too large. This definitely accomplishes all those for my 7950GT even with the fan speed turned up to just about 1/3. It may struggle with some of the hotter cards but it cools mine very effectively.

• This GPU cooler is amazing. Dropped my temps by ~10c instantly. This cooler has turned me into a Zalman fan. The cooler is quite and kicks the crap out of the stock cooler. Definitely worth the money. I have the xfx 7900GS XXX
  600M and it cools it to ~38-39c with ambient temp of 24c(room temp in home)
  once I turn my AC on, no telling how low it will drop

• I've read in some forums that this VGA cooler would actually fit an 8600 gts video card, is it true? anyone know if this information is accurated? i got an evga 8600gts 512ddr3 video card and i would like to know if this cooler would actually fit it to just buy it.

• This cooler is fantastic. The build quality is very very good, and it dropped the temperature of my ATI Radeon 4850 video card from 70C down to 36C.

• This is a nice fan for a replacement unit. I have installed it on my ATI Radeon HD 3650 AGP video card. The instructions were easy to follow and installation was pretty easy. This fan it thicker than the original unit so I had to remove the modem that was connected to the adjacent pci slot. I never use the modem anymore anyway so it was not a big loss. The only problem was the power. It came with a standard fan connector to plug into the motherboard or video card but neither of mine had an extra port.

• My main reason for getting this was the fan on my video card was quite noisy. It took less than a 30 minutes to install. The external speed controller looks kind of ugly, but functions as describe. I am using a Nvidia GF9500 1meg card. When you google the noise problem, it becomes quite apperant that the stock fan is the problem and Nvidia says its normal. It cost half the price of the card to solve the noise, but it is easier on the ears.

• When my VGAs fan stoped working this was the my 1st pick on how to replace the fan, only reason I didn't go with it right a way was, cause I knew my motherbord had no extra 4 prong, and the ones I could use wouldnt give the 12 volts needed to full power fan, so I found out that I could use my power suply units 6" SATA power cables to power the fan, item I go were: Zalman ZM-MC1 Multi-connector PS to Add Fan, Manhattan, 6" SATA 15-Pin Male to Dual 4-Pin Molex Female Y Splitter, 308977 by Manhattan. Hopefully somone that has the same issue as me, will read this and deside to go down the same road and just buy 2 lil extra things.
  
  But all things considered, saved myself a lot more money to buy a VGA that is same or better then what I have now, the fan keep VGA cooler then stock fan.
