• I got four boxes of these matches so I was motivated to learn how to use them. I had read the directions about poking them into the lid. I tried stroking and poking at various angles and finally got one to light after about 10 minutes. It burned down to the wood portion and went out. Incidentally, these matches are a bit short. Perhaps one is supposed to light them with a lighter!

• Why can't we buy these in the store anymore? It is so nice to be able to strike the match anywhere - you can take a few with you in your pocket and not have to have the entire box. Just pull one out and strike it anywhere - even on your zipper! Marvelous invention - why is it sometimes we had better things years ago!
