User's Manual:

When connected to external power supply(DC5V/1000MA)

• Both the external battery and iPhone can be charged simultaneously. During the charging period, LED light turns red. When 95% of the battery is full, LED light turns green. The LED light turns off when disconnected from the external power supply 

When connected to external power supply(Lower than DC5V/1000MA)

• It will automatically start charging the iPhone after finishing charing the external battery or it will charge both external battery and iPhone simultaneously. LED light works same as above direction

Charging iPhone

• Press the switch button to charge, while LED light turns red and continues flashing, the external battery is charging to the iPhone. Press the switch button during the charging, LED light turns off and discontinue charing to the iPhone

External Battery Status Indicator

• When external battery contains(w/i or w/o iPhone) less than 25% of its charge the LED light turns red and flashes, the lower power it contains, the faster the LED light flashes. When external battery contains less than 5%, LED light turns off
• If you press the recharge button when not connected to an external power supply and the external battery contains less than 5% of its charge, the LED light turns red first, quickly flashes 3 times and turns off. You need to recharge the external battery immediately

• If you have rechargeable batteries, this is a much needed product to keep separate your used and fresh batteries, as well as to keep charged batteries from being loose in your pocket or bag and getting shorted out. This is a very good product at a great price.
