How to Setup a Battery Pack:

Setting up a battery pack is a straightforward process. It can vary slightly, depending on what kind of batteries your pack contains, but other than that, it's simple. A battery pack is a group of like batteries packaged together in order to supply the appropriate level of power to an electronic device. Today, battery packs are usually one of three types of batteries: NiCad, NiMH or lithium-ion. No matter what type of battery pack you have, it's important to only charge it with the appropriate charger made for that battery type.

• Instructions
• Examine the battery pack to ensure there is no visible corrosion or leaking.
• Charge the battery fully before using the charger included with the battery pack or with a charger designed for that type and voltage of battery. A normal charging cycle is usually eight hours, or overnight.
• Connect the battery pack to the device per the manufacturer's instructions. Operate the device to discharge the battery until performance is notably affected. For example, a battery-operated drill will slow or fail to turn, or a battery-operated light will dim.
• Fully charge the battery pack again before storing it.
