How to Change Cell Phone Covers?
- If you are like most people, you would like to have a cell phone that properly represents your style. How to Make a Phone Cover:
- Place your phone on top of the felt and trace around it with chalk. Make the traced shape 1 inch bigger than your phone on each side
- Cut out the traced shape from the felt with scissors and cut out a second piece the same size. These will be the front and back of the cover
- Hand sew the embellishments onto the cover pieces with a needle and thread that matches your felt. Don't place the decorations within 1 inch from each edge of the felt or it will get caught in the seams
- Lay the two pieces of felt on top of each other and sew them together along both long sides and one short side. Use your sewing machine to make the seam ½ inch away from the edges of the felt
- Trim off the excess felt next to the seams. Get as close to the seam as possible without cutting any of the stitches
- Turn the felt cover inside out so the seams are not visible. Make sure you poke out the corners as they can easily get stuck inside when turning the cover around
- Slip your phone inside the cover and sew snaps onto the inside top edges. This will hold the cover closed and keep your phone from falling out
