• The software that comes with the unit leaves a lot to be desired - and in my opinion does not produce quality captures and lacks settings to allow one to tweak the capture process for optimal results.

• It would be nice to be able to just fast forward the tape instead of letting it run for whatever the movie/video duration is, but it works okay.

• This product works well. However, don't try to use the software. Just plug it in and use MS movie maker. The instructions could really be better. But it gets what you want onto the computer.

• There is a volume control in the program window that I used to put the sound where I liked it. Haven't found any problems so far with the 5 VHS tapes I have converted. Highly suggest buying this one (at least for Vista users)!
