Character:
Kakashi Hatake where Kakashi is literally Japanese for "scarecrow" - is the leader of Team 7 and the sensei of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. Kakashi treats his leadership position with a detached manner, and is consistently late to meetings as a result. In a gaiden on Kakashi's past, this is shown to be the result of an incident in which he witnessed the death of one of his teammates, Obito Uchiha, who gave Kakashi his Sharingan eye and imparted many of his habits, including his tardiness. With Obito's Sharingan, Kakashi has amassed a reputation as a skilled and powerful ninja, earning the moniker "Copy Ninja Kakashi". Although he mentors all three members of Team 7 early in the series, he concentrates on training Sasuke as the series continues, teaching him his Chidori technique; however, he is unable to prevent Sasuke from leaving the village to seek Orochimaru for greater power.
How to Wear a Wig:
- Step 1: You want to find a wig that you love. You can choose between human hair wig or a synthetic wig and you can find these wigs at hair shops or beauty shops. Try on lots of wigs!
- Step 2: You are ready to put on this wonderful wig that you have picked out. What you need to do is make sure that your real hair is outta' the way. This is how you do that. If your hair is long you want to pin it back and up as close to your head as possible. If you have short hair, just use hair gel to get your hair back.
- Step 3: After you prepare your own hair you need to cover it. Covering is very easy; all you need is some pantyhose. Cut the foot off of the pantyhose, and put it over your real hair. This will make sure that your hair will stay back and make the wig stay as well. But if you would like to skip this step that is okay. Sometimes it just doesn't work for some people with sensitive scalps.
- Step 4: Make sure that you are putting it on the right way with the front at the front.
- Step 5: Stretch out the wig with both of your hands in the head part of the wig.
- Step 6: Place the wig on top of your hair or panty hoed head. If you need to move it around, gently pull on the wig itself or move it slowly on your scalp.
- Step 7: Your wig is on. How does it look? Are you happy with it? Great! Now make sure that your wig is secure, bobby pin through the wig to your own hair. If this is a step you want to skip that is okay, but make sure your wig isn't sliding around.
How Often Should You Wash Your Wig?
- The answer ultimately depends on how often you wear it and what type of damage it incurs while wearing. The general rule of thumb for human hair wigs is to wash them after every ten to twelve wearing. For synthetic hair you can get by with washing after every fifteen to twenty wearing
- You may need to wash your wig more often under certain circumstances. If you are very active and perspire a lot, if you live in a more humid climate, or if you are around a lot of pollutants such as car exhaust, cooking grease, or cigarette smoke you will definitely want to wash your wig more often.
- In these instances it is okay to wash your wig after six to eight wearing but any more than that will cause your wig to deteriorate more quickly and loose its shape and style. If you do need to shampoo your wig more frequently it is important to adhere to the proper cleaning instructions and to use the correct products in order to minimise damage
How to Clean the Wig:
- First, comb the wig and fill your sink basin with cool water
- Add a capful of synthetic wig shampoo and blend in. Never use regular shampoo on synthetic wigs! If the wig has picked up the odor of smoke or other strong odors, you may add a teaspoon of baking soda to your basin, and blend in
- Gently swish the wig or piece in the water for about 30 seconds to a minute until the wig is saturated
- Gently scrub the front of the wig cap, where it meets the forehead until clean. Leave the wig soak in the wig basin for about 15 minutes
- Empty the wig basin of water and rinse the wig or piece in cool water. It is very important to use cool water on curly wigs, as warm water will over-relax the curls of wigs
- Gently squeeze excess water out of wig. Do not rub or twist your wig
- Use dry towel absorbs moisture and natural dry. Avoid direct sunlight, damage the wig
- Comb the wig and spray nursing liquid, then natural drying
- Comb gently to remove tangles, then turn inside out
How to Pick Wigs in Cosplay:
- Picture the hair of the fictional character that the wigged cosplay participant will be emulating. Decide on the length the wig should be. Browse for wigs by length first. Remember that wigs can be cut; if a longer wig looks better it is ok
- Look for wig color in the group of proper length. Dying a light color wig is an alternative if a wig with the correct color can not be found. Inspect the wig for damage before purchasing. Look for "bald spots" where hair is missing or tears in the base material
- Look to see how the wig attaches. Decide if a stretch-over wig is appropriate or if wig glue is needed. If the wig comes with pinning attachments or clips, try the wig on to feel comfort. Make movements while wearing the wig that are common in the participants' cosplay sessions to ensure its stability and comfort
- Style the wig further using hair products. Apply hair gel to the wig to give a sleeker, wet look. Use hair glue to create stiffer specific shapes with the wig. Use normal (not hot) curlers to give a wavy look to the wig. Top off a finished style with hairspray to hold the wig in place
