What is Cosplay:

Cosplay short for "costume play" is a type of performance art in which participants don costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Characters are often drawn from popular fiction in Japan. Favorite sources include manga, anime, tokusatsu, comic books, graphic novels, video games, hentai and fantasy movies. Role play includes portrayals of J-pop and J-rock stars, Taiwanese puppet characters, science fiction characters, characters from musical stories, classic novels, and entertainment software. Any entity from the real or virtual world that lends itself to dramatic interpretation may be taken up as a subject. Inanimate objects are given anthropomorphic forms and it is not unusual to see genders switched, with women playing male roles and vice versa.

How to be a Cosplayer:

• To be a cosplayer you first need a costume. You can make your costume, either by sewing or by putting it together from already made pieces
• Find your accessories. Some costumes aren't complete without their accessories. For example, if you are cosplaying as Kaylee from the Sci-Fi show, "Firefly", it's helpful to have her rainbow parasol. It helps identify you as that character
• Find a place to wear your costume! Halloween is not the only day you can get dolled up in your favorite costume
• Pose and be nice. Some people will want to comment on your costume and / or take your picture. Posing for pictures is a really fun part of cosplaying

Washing Method:

• Wash with cold water below 30 degrees without bleaching
• Hand washing and hang to dry
• Avoid exposing under the sun directly for a long time

• After looking at several suits, I settled for this one and didn't regret it. It was cheap but still looks good. Certainly nothing to be used extensivly, but hey: it is only Christmas once a year! All kids and adults liked it - so, I consider it a great buy.

• The santa suit was very cheap. My son was four years old and he didn't believe it was Santa cause the suit was so cheap. Almost like a scary santa.

• My fiance wore this to a Running of the Santas Pub crawl. It was great for one time use, but isn't necessarily something you'd want to wear to dress up as a "real santa" at Christmas time. My fiance is 6'3'' tall and 200 lbs and it fit great. Just note that the pants only go down to mid-calf which I believe is the plan since the boot covers go up high, but wouldn't be great if you decided not to wear the boot covers. Make sure you have black shoes though because the boot covers only cover half the top of the shoe and up. They are also pretty tight and were tough to get over my fiance's size 13 foot (without shoes on), but once on, they stayed on all night. The belt is HUGE, but you can easily make smaller holes and cutting off the end (Or stuffing a pillow inside the jacket). The beard and wig are a great plus since it was hard to find an inexpensive costume that comes with them! It does NOT come with gloves as the picture suggests. As I said, a great inexpensive costume for one time use.

• This is a very nice Santa Suit. It is quite plush and the beard and wig had excellent coverage. I can't make a determination on the size. We were buying it for our club and our "Santas" may vary in size so got the larger suit. It was quite large on our Santa this year and he had to use our back-up belt. The costume was definitely worth the price.

• This suit is a bright red suit and works well. The belt is a little bit on the crapy side but I had one made. The belts are hard to find a good durable one so I knew that when I purchased this suit. Hope to use it year after year.

• Bought this costume for Halloween since I put on weight and needed a fat guy costume for a party. Turns out that Santa is a VERY popular guy at a Halloween party, with lots of "little girls" who want to sit on Santa's knee and tell him what they want for Christmas. The costume was great because it came with everything needed - the beard, the wig, the hat, the belt and the boot covers along with the costume - and it was well made. The 3/4 length pants seemed a bit weird, but once I had the boot covers on it made sense. Handing out Trick-or-Treat candy dressed in this suit was fun as well, especially one little guy who dropped his candy bag and ran up screaming "Santaaaaaaa!" before delivering a ferocious hug to my knees. I had to think fast when he asked about what I was doing in his neighborhood and where the reindeer were, but his reaction to the costume made my night. This was a very good costume buy.
