How to Pack an Efficient Diaper Bag:
- First of all, don't assume that you will be home on time. Take some extras
- In the bottom of your bag is where you keep less needed items. Here you should keep at least 1 extra set of clothing (and preferably 2), an extra blanket, an extra shirt for YOURSELF, plastic bags for used clothing and bottles
- Be sure to pack at least an extra 3 diapers more than what you think you will need, a changing pad, baby wipes, burp rags, bibs, Keep a few squares of cleaning pads (the kind you get from fast food joints) not just for baby but yourself as well
- If you line the diapers ups long ways, you can put extra bottles upright along side them. (you can put the bottles into a bag if you wish). Be sure to take a couple extra bottles along, too! You will need to bring powder or diaper rash ointment, 2 extra pacifiers (if used), toys (no more than 2 or 3 and at least one that makes music). an extra bottle of distilled water or apple juice. If your baby needs them, don't forget teething rings and gum ointments
- In a side pocket if you have one, be sure to have a list of doctors' numbers, relatives, helpers, etc. Some Tylenol for babies. Some Tylenol or ibuprofen for YOURSELF. If you don't have one of the cell phones that takes pictures, don't forget a camera! A little disposable works well for this
