How to Use a Monocular:

• If you wear glasses, make sure to put them on before using a monocular
• Make sure to have a clear view of what you are watching. Hold the monocular very close to your eye (not touching it). If you wear glasses, you should gently rest the rubber end on your glasses
• You should see light if the monocular is properly lined up with your pupil. You can steady the monocular and hold it in place by placing your index finger on your eyebrow and your thumb on your nose
• Focus the monocular by putting your other hand on the ridged section of the monocular and turning it until your image becomes clear. If the image becomes blurry, this is a sign that you have turned the ridge too far. Begin turning the ridge in the opposite direction if this occurs
• If the image is still blurry, move closer to the object you are viewing and refocus the monocular

• I was unsure if the power was right for my purposes. I looked at some web sites for insight. I wanted this monocular for bird watching. I am very happy with the Night Vision Scope, it is portable and provides good magnification. I'm glad I didn't cheap out.

• This scope is pretty good quality for its price. The brass is good and heavy. It focuses a good, clear image. It feels good to hold and is easy to handle. The only problem is that it looks larger that it actually. The sight picture is a bit small which makes it harder to adjust your eye to get a more full image. But after using it a while, you get the knack. I like it.

• I bought this telescope for my five year old grandson, who watched Pirates of the Carrabin. He absolutely loves it, it is a very nice functionally telescope that would work for any age group.

• I work for the Parks Department for my city, and I also am a bird watcher & nature buff. This little scope comes in so handy in my daily routine, both for work purposes and to appreciate nature by identifying bird species. I Love it so much, I own two like this! It's also a lot lighter than binoculars, though it takes practice to hold it steady.

• I was surpised when my 13yr old son requested a spyglass for Christmas. I started pricing them and realized they are either very cheap or VERY expensive. Not knowing how much he would actually use it, I did not want to pay too much, but I also didn't want to get a cheap one that wasn't usable. He was very excited when he opened it (I had convinced him he wasn't getting one) and immediately went outside with it. He knew it would take some time to know how to use it just right. Seems quite pleased still.
