How to Troubleshoot a Wireless Optical Mouse:

Wireless accessories, like a mouse use short-wave wireless signals to facilitate communication between the computer and the device. These short-wave wireless signals generally use Bluetooth technology, but occasionally use other wireless protocols. If your wireless mouse is not working, there may be a problem with this network, or with the mouse hardware itself. To troubleshoot the source of your issues, you can follow some troubleshooting steps to see where the problem is coming from and correct it

• Reconnect wireless adapter. If you are not connecting using an internal transceiver, try using a different USB port. Adapters will not function when they are connected to a hub, so make sure the adapter is connected directly to the computer
• Make sure the bottom of the optical mouse is clean. Spray a lint-free cloth with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and wipe down the bottom of the mouse (including the optical eye) with the cloth. Take special care to remove all dust and dirt from the bottom of the mouse
• Use the Windows mouse diagnostic tool. See the link in the "Resource" section to download this tool. Once the download has finished, launch the "Run" dialog box and type "mousinfo". this will launch the diagnostic tool, and give you an idea if there is a hardware or software issue with your mouse. If there is a software issue (like drivers) the mouse diagnostic tool should be able to fix it
• Remove conflicting mouse software. If you have used another wireless mouse in the past, the software that came with it may be interfering with the current software. Open the Run dialog box and type "appwiz.cpl". Press "OK" and then select any conflicting mouse software or drivers from the list

• I've used several different wireless mouses over the last few years at work, and this mouse by microsoft is by far my favorite. It works great and I have never had any issues with it quitting on me like all of the other wireless mouses I've used. I bought this one so I would have one at home and work.

• I have 4 of this wireless mouses for my computers, one of them I used it for over 3 years and still working, so decided to buy again for others. I don't have any problem with it, just plug it to the USB port, no software needed, not only for PC computer, it is also for Mac computer. Just 1 AA battery and use it for a long long time. The size of the USB receiver is the same size as other USB flash drive, if it becomes shorter, it works much better for me, but it is not a big deal.

• Pretty much exactly as it looks and is advertised. Has an excellent battery life, even for people who use the computer for long periods of time. I use my laptop on a daily basis, often for long periods, and the battery is still going after several months. Even if the battery died tomorrow, I couldn't complain. I've gotten a good amount of use out of it. I would certainly recommend this product.

• This is the third Optical Wireless Mouse I have purchased. I have one for all three of the computers we have because of the comfort and length of time it lasts between battery changes. I would highly recommend it for both home and business computers.

• Over all I like this Optical Wireless Mouse. I have small hand so the compact size is perfect for me. The only probably I have with it once and a while is that the connection cuts out. But other than than that it's a good mouse for the price I paid for it.

• The PC optical wireless mouse works very good and it's super responsive I really like this mouse but how everyone else said it falls a bit short due to not having a off button but other then that it seems like a sturdy mouse I hope it lasts me for a good while.
