How to Make a Straw Beach Bag:
Making a Straw beach bag is moderate easy to moderate. It takes time and patience. It is fun to do as a present or just a little something for yourself.
- Instructions
- Back side of Beach Bag
- First cut out your pattern. Then place your material over the pattern pin it with the sewing pins in place. Then cut out the material for the outer and inside. I used straw material for the outside back, ivory for the outside front and ivory for the inside lining. Then do the same thing for the handle covers.
- Then sew the materials together. When finished, turn bag inside out no seams will be seen. The sewing seams that are noticeable are inside the bag. Then sew then handle covers according to the instructions. Once this is done, then sew your handles to the handle covers. Once this is complete, sew the handle ends to the inside top part of the beach bag so it does not show the sewing seams.
- Your bag is now complete. Now you can add hooks inside the bag so it will close. Then I decorated mine with material and snaps. It turned out very cute and is a present for my sister. You also can make them plain. I made one for my self it is the same material but I used gold hoops for my handles and left it plain. It is very cute as well. Good Luck and Happy Sewing !!!!!!!!!
